Mission Statement

"Napoleon Area Schools Facilities and Operations supports the core educational mission of the School District by maintaining a safe, beautiful, and functional campus environment, and providing services and spaces for activities outside the classroom.  Facilities and Operations is responsible for the safety, preservation, and maintenance of the campus.  It provides space planning; oversight of new building design and construction; renovation, repair, and restoration of existing spaces; operations and maintenance of buildings and grounds; and management of the facilities and campus public safety.  Within the campus, Facilities and Operations also serves the community through the operation of its facilities management program, and event venue management."

 

Facilities and Grounds

Napoleon Area School Campus:  located on 119 acres and includes: 12.0 acres of parking lots; and 3.63 miles (19,185 ft.) of sidewalks.

Elementary School:  Complex is located on 55 Acres, with the Elementary School Building occupying 122,460 sq. ft.; 3.30 acres of parking lots; and 1.3 miles (6,865 ft.) of sidewalks.

High School / Junior High School:  Complex is located on 64 Acres, with the HS / JH School Building occupying 179,218 sq. ft.; 8.70 acres of parking lots; and 2.33 miles (12,320 ft.) of sidewalks.

Athletic Facilities

OUTDOOR FACILITIES:  The maintenance staff maintains 60 acres of sports fields which include three grass football practice fields, two practice soccer fields, seven youth soccer fields, baseball field, softball field, 5k & 2 mile cross country course, four tennis courts, synthetic turf football / soccer field, outdoor track and field, as well as all the grounds around the athletic complex. Typical duties include daily trash and recycling pick-up, custodial support of restroom facilities, lining or painting of fields, mowing, watering, and sweeping.

INDOOR FACILITIES:  The custodial staff maintains the athletic resources within the schools, which consists of three gymnasiums, wrestling swing space facility, natatorium, as well as the grounds around the buildings.  Typical duties include daily trash and recycling pick-up, cleaning of floors and equipment, monitoring of water quality, and sweeping.

Seasonal duties include setting up and breaking down the required equipment for ALL the various athletic events.

Our buildings are valuable community assets, and many civic and community groups use them for meetings, practices and events.  NAS is happy to accommodate these groups whenever we can. 

All facility use requests are completed online. The first step needed to make an online facility use request is to create a user account.  Be sure to complete all information.  If your registration was successful, you will receive an email confirmation.

Please be aware that we require requests to be submitted a minimum of 14 calendar days before your event date to plan and execute your event effectively.
