Cheerleading Tryouts - Postponed

Dear Students, Parents, and Families,

The NHS Athletic Department would like to take this opportunity to notify all students, parents, and families that the cheerleading tryouts scheduled for Friday, May 19th have been postponed.  Recently, the Napoleon Board of Education accepted the resignation of the current cheerleading advisors.  The administration greatly appreciated all the efforts of the cheerleading advisors and valued their hard work and dedication to the Napoleon High School Athletic Department and the student-athletes we serve.  We recognize much time and preparation has been invested in holding the cheerleading tryouts for Friday, May 19th; however, the decision to postpone was a recent and last minute decision solely by the school administration.

As the Athletic Department seeks out a new advisor(s) for the cheerleading program, tryouts will be rescheduled so the 2017-18 cheerleading advisor(s) can participate in the selection process.  Tryouts for the 2017-18 cheerleading team will be tentatively rescheduled for mid-June.  If a conflict does or will arise with the June tryouts, the athletic department will help find a resolution.  The Athletic Department will announce the specific time(s) and date(s) upon the hiring of a new advisor(s).

The Napoleon Jr. & Sr. High School Administration apologizes for any inconvenience the postponement of the tryouts may have caused; however, it is our belief that the new advisor(s) should be part of the selection process for the 2017-18 cheerleading team.  Simultaneously, the Athletic Department would like to move the tryout date in order to alleviate any scheduling conflicts.  We have many wonderful students who want to participate in numerous activities.  We recognize your time is valuable.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Mr. Josh Meyer, Asst. Principal AD
